You do not have to sign up for, pay for or register for both events; you can decide to do just the museum tour, or just join us for lunch. But if you do opt for lunch, May 21st is the deadline for guaranteeing reservation at restaurant, which is necessary if we do not want to have to wait for a table. If you plan to attend lunch and do not let me know by deadline, I cannot guarantee that you will be accommodated for lunch.

About the museum: Provided we have a minimum of 10 attendees, we will get our own 1-hour guided tour of the museum. You are free to stay at the museum as long as you like. BMI depicts people who are often over-looked: the workers, small business owners, and others who built our history. Walk through the 1865 Platt and Company oyster cannery; Step into a 1910 pharmacy, tour a circa-1929 garment loft. Stand beneath the 1937 Mini-Mariner, the flying prototype of a WWII PBM flying boat bomber and look outside for the 1906 steam tug Baltimore. Enjoy the interactive Video Game Wizards where you can explore how your talents, skills and passions could lead to a career in the interactive entertainment industry. At the end, you can play your own game. The museum looks out on a beautiful marina, where you can go outside on the deck and see water, boats and a panoramic view.

About the restaurant: The restaurant is only 2 buildings away from the museum, about a one-block walk. Parking is available, however, at the lot in front of the restaurant or a pay lot at the end of the street, if you wish to drive there. Little Havana is on the site of a former feed supply warehouse. The menu is Cuban-inspired cuisine. The restaurant is known for its vintage style decor, fantastic water view and comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant also has shuffleboard, pinball and (depending on reservations) fooseball and pool. There is a large outside patio that overlooks the water and a large garage door facing the water that is open when the weather is good. We will order off the menu, which offers small plates, salads, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and specialty drinks. Sandwich prices range from $10.00 to $20.00; entrees range from $15.00 to $19.00 (crab cake platter at market rates). Desserts are between $6.00 and $7.00. (No info on drink prices.)
